Dr. Edward Shmaruk, D.C.

Biography
Dr. Edward Shmaruk, D.C. is a Board Certified Chiropractor licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. Dr. Shmaruk received his undergraduate degree from Montclair State University and his doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta, GA. He provides a non-invasive alternative healthcare approach to his clients who have suffered a disruption to their musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
His practice emphasizes on the areas of sports injuries, automobile accidents, work related traumas and family care/wellness programs. With the use of Chiropractic care and other therapeutic treatments, Dr. Shmaruk has had great success in promoting the healing process and preventing similar injuries and symptoms from re-occurring.
He holds a first degree black belt in Taekwondo and actively teaches and practices the art. In February 2009, Dr. Shmaruk was invited to be the team chiropractor for the FIBT World Bobsled & Skeleton Team Championships in Lake Placid. He worked with world class Olympic Athletes for the Russian Olympic Bobsled & Skeleton teams. He provided chiropractic treatments, physio-therapeutic and functional rehabilitation that helped maximize each athletes performance. Dr. Shmaruk has been invited back to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada
Dr. Shmaruk is also active in the community. He sponsors an Adult Soccer league called the Oakland Strikers and gives various lectures on health topics and concerns about spinal hygiene,posture, and living a healthy and pain free lifestyle.

Maria Rita Veronica Tirona, PT

Maria earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Fatima University, Manila Philippines and gained 15 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings in New York and New Jersey specializing in the areas of post-operative, orthopedic, sport and geriatric cases. She continues to polish her skills by attending seminars and courses every year. She loves to travel all over the world with family and friends, and in her spare time enjoys jogging, riding her bike and enjoying nature.

Annie Freund

Annie is our Patient Coordinator, who has over 5+years experience. She takes high pride in providing our patients with the best possible service.

On her down time, she enjoys golfing with her husband Jeremy and watching their three sons play sports. She loves to take road trips and also partake in charitable events such as the annual Buddy Walk for Down Syndrome awareness.
