Dr. Edward Shmaruk, D.C.
Dr. Edward Shmaruk, D.C. is a Board Certified Chiropractor licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. He received his undergraduate degree from Montclair State University and his doctorate of Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Shmaruk provides a non-invasive alternative healthcare approach to his clients who have suffered a disruption to their musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
His practice emphasizes on the areas of sports injuries, automobile accidents, work related traumas and family care/wellness programs. With the use of Chiropractic care and other therapeutic treatments, Dr. Shmaruk has had great success in promoting the healing process and preventing similar injuries and symptoms from re-occurring.
He holds a first-degree black belt in Taekwondo and actively teaches and practices the art. In February 2009, Dr. Shmaruk was invited to be the team chiropractor for the FIBT World Bobsled & Skeleton Team Championships in Lake Placid. He worked with world class Olympic Athletes for the Russian Olympic Bobsled & Skeleton teams. He provided chiropractic treatments, physio-therapeutic and functional rehabilitation that helped maximize each athlete’s performance. Dr. Shmaruk has been invited back to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, Canada
Dr. Shmaruk is also active in the community. He sponsors an Adult Soccer league called the Oakland Strikers and gives various lectures on health topics and concerns about spinal hygiene, posture, and living a healthy and pain free lifestyle.
Outside of work, Dr. Shmaruk enjoys fishing, playing pickleball, and spending quality time with his wife and two children.
Analyn “Annie” Freund
Medical Practice Manager
Annie is our dedicated Medical Practice Manager and truly the heart of operations at Back2Health. She plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. With over 10 years of experience managing offices, she has excelled and accumulated a wealth of experience in the field. Annie’s steady professionalism and exceptional skills in patient coordination allow our team to deliver outstanding care—while our patients focus on what matters most: their health. Her extensive background enables efficient and effective management, contributing significantly to the ongoing success of our practice.
Outside of work, Annie treasures quality time with her husband, three sons, and their beloved family dog, Bella. She has a passion for traveling and a deep appreciation for live music and concerts. Annie is always enthusiastic about welcoming new patients and supporting them on their journey to getting Back2Health.
Ryan Mangubat
Physical Therapist
Ryan is a friendly and highly valued member of our team who consistently works hard to ensure his patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their recovery. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Perpetual Help System in the Philippines in 2000. He is a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey and has been practicing for over 20 years.
Ryan brings extensive experience working with a diverse group of patients and specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports therapy, post-surgical recovery, manual therapy, geriatric and pediatric physical rehabilitation, as well as neurological rehabilitation. He is also trained in therapeutic Kinesio taping.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Ryan is certified in CPR and First Aid and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Outside of work, Ryan enjoys traveling with his family, riding his road bike, and playing pickleball.
Edmundo “Jun” Sanglay Jr.
Physical Therapist
Jun is a highly skilled physical therapist specializing in the treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. With over 23 years of experience, he has extensive expertise in managing injuries resulting from sports, motor vehicle accidents, and falls.
CPR certified and deeply committed to patient care, Jun blends clinical excellence with a compassionate approach to rehabilitation, helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and regain independence.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and practicing target shooting.
Anna-Dahlia “Leeyah” Quintos
Physical Therapist
Leeyah is a skilled and experienced Physical Therapist who has been practicing for over 30 years. She earned her degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center in the Philippines in April 1994 and became U.S. PT Board Certified in 1995.
Known for her clinical expertise and compassionate care, Leeyah is dedicated to helping patients reach their wellness goals through personalized, results-driven treatment. Her decades of experience and commitment to excellence make her a valued part of the Back2Health team.
Outside of work, Leeyah enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She has a passion for skiing and traveling and is always seeking new adventures to share with her family.
Raymond “Ray’’ Razon
Physical Therapist Assistant
Ray is a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant with a strong background in exercise science and nearly a decade of hands-on experience in the physical therapy field.
Ray began his career in 2016 as a physical therapy aide/tech and has since developed into a skilled and compassionate licensed provider, treating patients for the past four years. His approach is informed by a deep understanding of movement, strength training, and rehabilitation.
Outside of the office, Ray enjoys playing tennis, combining strength and agility with precision and strategy—qualities that reflect his approach to patient care.
Franchesca “Fran” Suarez
Massage Therapist
Fran is a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 15 years of hands-on experience specializing in medical massage.
Fran’s specialties include trigger point therapy, myofascial release, cupping, and scraping (Gua Sha). She takes pride in customizing each session to the unique needs of her clients, blending deep anatomical knowledge with skilled manual therapy to support pain relief, mobility, and recovery.
Her mission is simple yet powerful: to help patients heal and feel better—one carefully tailored session at a time.
Kyle Kollias
Physical Therapy Aide
Kyle is our dedicated Physical Therapy Aide, whose passion for helping others began while volunteering with students with disabilities and organizing inclusive basketball games that fostered joy and community connection. He brings energy, empathy, and a strong foundation in movement science to support our patients in their recovery journey.
Outside of work, Kyle enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors with his friends, family, and his dog. He firmly believes in the power of physical activity to support overall well-being—an outlook he embraces both professionally and personally.
Dennys Reyes
Patient Coordinator
Dennys is our inviting and caring patient coordinator, bringing hands-on experience in patient coordination for over 5 years. Dennys is known for her strong work ethic, teamwork, and genuine care for each patient. She is always ready to lend a helping hand or offer encouragement, making her a trusted and uplifting presence on our team.
Outside of work, Dennys enjoys spending time with her son and family, and unwinding through her love of gaming. She brings the same commitment and heart to her role as she does to every part of her life.
Maria Gonzalez
Patient Coordinator
Maria is our warm and welcoming Patient Coordinator, originally from the Dominican Republic. She came to the U.S. at the age of 18, is fully bilingual in Spanish and English, and completed her education here in the States. She is passionate about continually expanding her knowledge to better serve our patients.
Her compassionate nature and strong communication skills make her a valuable part of our team. She takes pride in making every patient feel supported and at ease throughout their care journey.
